If we have any questions about your claim someone from the Property Taxation Office will contact you. Eligible owners must claim the Home Owner Grant each year. Please print a copy of this page for your records. It will serve as your verification that we have received your claim. If you have claimed a grant requiring additional documentation, please ensure all such documentation is submitted to our office before the Tax Due Date to ensure that penalties are not applied to your account. If you claimed the additional grant, pay box C from your Tax Bill. However, if your additional grant is not approved, you will be responsible for the difference between the regular and additional Home Owner Grant. Unpaid balances after midnight (Vancouver time) on the Due Date, including those resulting from late or unsubmitted Home Owner Grants, are subject to a 5% penalty.
